Fellowship-Trained in Microvascular Surgery
Dr. Charles Pribyl joined New Mexico Orthopaedics in 2006 as an orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand, wrist and elbow, with a particular interest in wrist and elbow reconstruction.
Dr. Pribyl chose to become an orthopaedic hand surgeon in order to help people and improve their overall quality of life. He is interested in the anatomic basis and nature of orthopaedic diseases and their treatment options. In order to accurately diagnose and treat an individual, Dr. Pribyl takes care to listen to his patients, including how their lives are affected by their orthopaedic problems. He works closely with each patient to choose the most appropriate treatment and rehabilitation plan to achieve the best possible result.
Before joining the team at New Mexico Orthopaedics, Dr. Pribyl served as an instructor in Orthopaedic, Hand and Microvascular Surgery at the University of New Mexico for eight years. He was chief of staff at the University of New Mexico Hospital and president of the New Mexico Orthopaedic Association. Dr. Pribyl is a proud alumni of the United States Air Force Academy, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1976.
Outside of work, Dr. Pribyl spends time with his family, plays golf, reads a variety of thought-provoking literature and is an avid ice hockey fan, a sport he enjoyed participating in as an athlete as well..
