Dr. David Bernstein specializes in hand and upper extremity surgery at New Mexico Orthopaedics and primarily treats patients who have suffered sports-related injuries.  He has chosen to dedicate his practice to the care of hands, which play such an integral role in one’s life and interaction with the surrounding world.

Dr. Bernstein engages his patients in the creation and implementation of their own plans of care, knowing that the success of the plan of care relies greatly upon their understanding of the diagnosis and treatment options available.

Away from the office, Dr. Bernstein enjoys going for a run through the bosque or the foothills of Albuquerque and skiing.  He is an avid cyclist, including his daily commute to and from the office.

 

Dr. Bernstein has participated in 10K races and has run marathons with a personal best of 2 hours 47 minutes.  He finds it even more enjoyable when he is able to share his time and love of the outdoors with his family.
