Dr. Kari Babinski specializes in general orthopedics and sports medicine at New Mexico Orthopaedics. Part of his practice involves working with athletes recovering from injuries in various sports including volleyball, basketball, skiing, football and soccer.
Dr. Babinski takes a logical, common-sense approach to treatment that emphasizes understanding individual goals for recovery and combining that knowledge with his expertise and the latest operative and non-operative methods to provide a comprehensive and customized treatment plan. He has learned that listening closely to each patient and involving him or her in the process helps to speed a return to a functional and active lifestyle.
Dr. Babinski derives a great sense of personal satisfaction from helping patients improve their lives rebound from a variety of musculoskeletal issues. He has much confidence in the variety of techniques and tools at his fingertips that help him to reduce his patients pain, fix injuries and correct deformities. His prior experience in trauma medicine furthers the level of knowledge that he offers to his patients. Dr. Babinski is also a faculty member of the New Mexico Orthopaedics Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Fellowship.
Away from the office, Dr. Babinski enjoys mountain bike racing, road cycling, skiing, hiking and travel. He takes great pleasure in quality family time and playing with his children.
